If you trade new tokens, you already know the problem: a coin launches, it isn't on the big price apps yet, and the only way to watch it is to keep a DexScreener tab open and refresh it all day.
Why the contract address is the only thing that matters
Ticker symbols aren't unique. Dozens of tokens can share the same name, and copycats launch within minutes of anything that pumps. The contract address (sometimes called the mint address on Solana) is the one identifier that points to exactly one token. If you track by contract, you're always watching the real one.
Where to find a token's contract address
- On the token's page on DexScreener, usually right under the token name with a copy button.
- In the project's official links (website, X profile or Telegram). Always double-check it matches what's on DexScreener.
- In your wallet, on the token's detail screen.
The problem with doing this on your phone
Watching one new coin means unlocking your phone, opening an app, finding the tab and waiting for it to load, dozens of times a day. Each check pulls you out of whatever you were doing, and it's easy to end up scrolling instead.
Putting it on your desk instead
That's exactly why I built Crabby. You paste a contract address into it once, and it pulls the price from DexScreener and keeps it on screen, refreshed every 60 seconds, right next to your keyboard. It works for tokens that launched an hour ago, and it sits alongside Bitcoin, your stocks, gold or anything else you watch.
Crabby is read-only. It never needs a private key or seed phrase, so there's nothing to connect and nothing to sign.
Not financial advice. New tokens are extremely risky; always do your own research.
