For a lot of us, checking the market is the first thing we do in the morning. The problem is that it happens on the phone, and once the phone is unlocked, five minutes of checking prices turns into thirty minutes of everything else.
Here's the routine I use, built around glancing instead of scrolling.
1. Get the big picture first
Before you look at a single coin, check the broad market. Where are the S&P 500 and the Dow? What did gold and oil do? Did the dollar move against the euro? These tell you whether a move in your coins is about crypto or about everything.
2. Then check your watchlist
Look at the handful of coins and stocks you actually care about. Keep this list short. If you're tracking 40 things, you aren't really watching any of them.
3. Look at your wallets last
Your balances are the result of everything above, so check them after you know why things moved. It's a lot easier to stay level headed that way.
4. Skim the headlines
One or two headlines usually explain the biggest move of the night. You don't need more than that before your coffee.
How Crabby fits in
I built Crabby so this whole routine happens on my desk. It shows crypto, stocks and indices, gold, silver, oil, forex and up to 7 wallets on one screen, refreshing every 60 seconds. It also pulls live news from CoinTelegraph and CoinDesk and gives you a morning and an evening market briefing. You get the overview in a glance and your phone stays in your pocket.
Not financial advice, just a better way to start the day.
